Throughout the year Friends of Sapelo take on various construction and painting projects such as:

• Building and placing Wood Duck boxes to provide homes for ducks
• Painting and repairing buildings at Chocolate
• Building picnic tables at Nanygoat beach, the lighthouse and other public areas around the island
• Constructing and painting guardrails around the culverts
• Framing signage on the island
• Other island building projects as the need arises
