Kids from Prospect Baptist Church, Cresent GA, along with local residents of Darien and surrounding counties came to the Sapelo Visitor’s Center on June 12, to hear that things are looking up for Sea Turtles in Georgia.  Adam MacKinnon, Education Director of SINERR, told the crowd that 2015 is off to a great start with an increase in the number of nest identified so early in the season.  As a reminder, the biggest threat to sea turtles are boats.  Be watchful as you take to the water around our barrier islands.
