EXPLORING COASTAL ENVIRONMENTS

Discover Our Research and Monitoring Program

At SINERR, we delve into addressing place-based coastal management and ecology issues through monitoring, applied collaborative research, and facilitating visiting researchers. Learn more about these programs and other projects below.

System-Wide Monitoring Program (SWMP)

SINERR participates in the nationwide environmental monitoring program called the System-Wide Monitoring Program (SWMP).

Every 15 minutes we are measuring weather and water quality around Sapelo Island, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for over 20 years. Learn more about this standardized, quality controlled program below and how to access the data!
