SUMMARY:Sapelo Artist in Residency Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The Sapelo Island Artist Residency Weekend offers 3 nights and 4 days of immersive\, creative time on one of Georgia’s most ecologically and culturally rich barrier islands. \nFebruary 20th-23rd\, 2026   &   May 1st-4th\, 2026 \nArtists of all disciplines are encouraged to apply — visual arts\, writing\, music\, performance\, photography\, and beyond. This experience emphasizes solitude\, reflection\, and connection to nature. \nMinimum age 21. You must pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license upon selection. \nRooms are based on two occupants. Artists are not required to stay overnight; ferry arrangements can be made each day\, but it is recommended to get the full immersive experience. The first night’s dinner is provided\, but artists are responsible for bringing all subsequent meals\, snacks\, and beverages. \nPlease see Request For Proposal for Complete Details. Email any questions to Brittany.Dodge@dnr.ga.gov. \nAPPLICATION IS CLOSED.
