For this event are meeting at the Marsh Pirate Taproom in Darien\, Ga a newer location\, right on the marsh with waterfront views! \nThere is no formal agenda or presentations. Conversation is the focus! We’ll occasionally offer a few optional icebreakers or networking games to help spark new connections\, but participation is entirely up to you. Whether you’re looking to learn about ongoing work in the region\, find new partners\, reconnect with colleagues\, or simply enjoy good conversation over a drink\, Sips with Science is a great place to expand your network and strengthen our coastal community. \nWho should attend? DESCRIPTION:Missed our Darien premiere of the Tides & Tales Film Festival? Join us at the SoGlo theatre in Brunswick\, Ga for a fun night of films during our second screening of the Tides & Tales Film Festival. \nHosted in partnership with the Georgia Conservancy and Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve\, this traveling film festival showcases coastal short films that highlight the local marsh ecosystems in Georgia. \nThe Tides & Tales 2026’s Feature Film is ‘A Thousand Rivulets Run’\, a film by Sam Ghioto and Andrew Bellacomo. This documentary film explores the conservation of Georgia’s salt marshes\, inspired by the Coastal Marshlands Protection Act. Through poetic and visually compelling imagery\, the film traces the history of how Georgia’s marshes were saved from destruction in the 1970s and continues to examine current efforts to protect them. \nConcessions and cash bar will be available for purchase in the Studio at SoGlo Theatre. \nGET YOUR TICKETS HERE
