in 2006 the Stewardship Program and the Friends of Sapelo installed a parking area near the Marsh Landing ferry dock. This parking area was designed for an over follow parking area for island residences’ not community daily. The parking area is covered with Gravelpave2. A lightweight molded plastic material that sits atop an engineered porous base material and is anchored down with galvanized anchors, and is filled with gravel that allows you to park, drive and walk on a gravel surface.
