Visitors

The Sapelo Island Visitors Center is located on the mainland, next to the ferry dock in Meridian, GA. It serves as a key distribution point for information about educational opportunities and tourism activities –  such as public and group tours on Sapelo Island – and how coastal ecosystems link to research and monitoring within the Reserve.

If you can’t visit the island, you can still enjoy the Visitors Center- a learning space for reading all about the ecosystem and human history of the entire island –  brought to you by Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve.
