Friends love coming to Sapelo and the Fall Work Day, September 26, no exception. The temperature was in the low 80’s, a soft breeze was blowing and the fluffy white clouds made for a perfect day to tackle all of the projects on the to do list. Twenty 22 volunteers ventured all over the south end of the island armed with paint and brushes, scrapers, pruning loppers, screws and screwdrivers with the goal of sprucing up the island in time for the holiday visitors. After the work was done, the friends traveled to Nanny Goat Beach to rest and enjoy the afternoon sun.
